🌱Did some weedwacking in the backyard. 🌱Pruned the apple tree with neighbor Roger. It‘s sooo much smaller, but still charismatic. 🌱Mowed part of the lawn (the part not covered by apple tree branches). 🌱Picked up the remaining apple branches, and mowed the exposed lawn (and all the rest while I was at it). 🌱Planted crocosmia (from Tom & Elle), and (to replace winter casualties) thyme, sage, and oregano. Also got rid of the damn dusty miller after only 2-1/2 years. 🌱Mowed the lawn with the new mower. Learned a lot. It‘s great. 🌱staked my grape plant to a laundry drying umbrella for max white trash lawn effect. 🌱Mowed part of the lawn (Meghan mowed the rest, since she doesn‘t need to start a cold gas mower.) 🌱Watered the garden and examined for new sprouties. 🌱Meghan and I finished mowing the lawn. 🌱Mowed most of the front lawn. 🌱Helped Meghan plant two blueberry bushes. 🌱Got a tiny bit of mowing done. 🌱Pulled up some more lawn. 🌱Downpayment on new 6-foot fence 🌱Poo patrol, leaf removal and mulch spreading 🌱Mowed a little bit of the lawn. Where did all the fir seedlings come from? 🌱Tore up more lawn in the back. 🌱Mowed most of the back yard. 🌱Began water-treating new fence 🌱Trimmed trees whose branches were screeching against the carport roof. 🌱Moving roses to prepare for a goat in the backyard. 🌱Goat preparation, day two. 🌱Got over two gallons of debris out of a 15‘-long stretch of gutter, including several saplings (two of which were over 8\"). 🌱Mowed some exceptionally-tall grass. Push mowers weren‘t designed for this, and ours needs sharpening. 🌱Goats have eaten a lot of the backyard. Highly recommended. 🌱Finish waterproofing fence 🌱Cleaned the rest of the gutters; pulled more saplings out of them. 🌱Got rocks and other anti-chipmunk equipment 🌱Plugged up chipmunk holes with \"pond rocks\" 🌱Tree at back of lot has dropped a branch onto the neighbor‘s yard 🌱Arranged to have neighbor‘s tree folks trim our trees 🌱Termite treatment for our mulch 🌱Mowed the front lawn, trimmed the lavender and rosemary, and avoided the slimy dying mushrooms in the side yard. 🌱Moses offers to rake our leaves, clean our gutters, floss our teeth. Saved. 🌱Moses and nephews make quick work of the leaves. Get his number for later. 🌱Scraped ice and slush off the driveway and sidewalk, in case the threatened freeze and snow happens tonight.
